Detroit native Kenny Watson is ascending to the world stage with a message of love for God, fellow man and one’s self. With a velvet voice reminiscent of Donnie Hathaway’s, he’s been dubbed “The Amazing Kenny Watson” for the versatility that comfortably carries the refined vocalist through multiple music genres. Kenny performed in Ireland with the Detroit Archdiocese, singing classic Mozart and Moses Hogan compositions, and is widely known as “Scatman” for his ability to rival instruments, notably the bass and saxophone. A charismatic performer who also plays bass, keys, and acoustic guitar, the Motor City musician has shared the Jazz bandstand with the likes of James Carter, Marcus Belgrave, Roy Hargrove and Techno Jazz artist Norma Jean Bell. Over the past year Kenny has toured the US and Canada, while appearing in national TV ads for the American Cancer Society.
